Sister Ruth had given her life to God many years ago while her children were still young.   She had to raise her family alone, with the help of God.   She did not have an abundance of money or material things, but she gave faithfully to the house of God.   Along with other sisters of the church, she visited the sick and greatly gave of her time to others.   If at all possible, she never missed a church service at her home church and still visited other churches regularly when they had any special services.   She loved worshipping God and being with His people. She had a favorite scripture that she quoted often found in Luke 6:38-"Give, and it shall be given unto you; good measure, pressed down, and shaken together, and running over, shall men give into your bosom."   We thought of her everytime the scripture was quoted. In the year of 2000 she became terminally ill and passed away five months afterward, but never missed church until the very end.   God used her tremendously, but now she can rest in His arms.   She is truly missed by many.
